Digital Nomad visa is a direct route for immigration to Portugal for any self-employed professionals or those working remotely who can show earnings of at least 3100 EUR for the past 3 months
Who is eligible for the Digital Nomad visa
- Employees who can work remotely and earn at least 3100 EUR per month with ability to prove last 3 months of their earnings;
- Self-employed or independent professionals who can prove last 3 month's of earnings of at least 3100 EUR
Digital Nomad key visa requirements
- Ability to confirm earnings at the level of 3,100 euros/monthly (after taxes) for the last 3 months prior to applying;
- Federal certificate of no criminal record — your certificate must be apostilled. The validity period of the certificate is 6 months from the date of issuance of the certificate;
- It is possible to simultaneously submit documents of all family members (spouse and children) for a visa accompanying the main applicant. To do this, you will need to show that you have savings in the amount of 9,120 EUR for a spouse and 2,736 EUR for each of the children. Your savings must be deposited in any bank in Portugal or SEPA zone, including web banks, i.e. Wise, Revolute, Bunq;
- Medical insurance with a coverage of at least 30,000 Euros and a period of at least 6 months;
- Reservation of housing for at least 12 months, issued through the Flatio service, or directly with the landlord. Key requirement: the lease agreement must be signed with a digital signature, OR a physical one, then certified by a notary. Ideally, attach proof of payment for the first month's rent to the contract. Booking start date = date of estimated trip to Portugal. Bookings made through Booking.com, Hotels.com, AirBnb, etc. are not accepted;
