Summary of the Portugal Tech visa program
Tech Visa is a direct route for immigration to Portugal for qualified specialists with education and work experience in the IT field or in another technological or innovative industry.
Who is eligible for the Tech visa
- qualified specialists of technological and innovative industries with a work contract from one of the companies certified in Portugal as a member of the Tech Visa program.
Portugal Tech visa requirements
- availability of a working contract or a letter of intent from a Portuguese company for a period of at least 12 months;
- no criminal record;
- age over 18;
- higher education, or (in the case of vocational education) - documented proven work experience in the specialty for more than 5 years;
- the established monthly salary in the amount of at least 2.5 times the amount of state social support IAS (in 2021 — 438.81 €). For 2022 - at least €1,500.
- knowledge of Portuguese, English, French or Spanish at the level of the ability to communicate in it on work issues.

Terms of obtaining a Portugal Tech visa- The visa processing period is 60 days
- The validity period of the visa is 6 months, during which it is necessary to issue a residence permit in SEF.
