Summary of the Portugal Start-up visa program
Startup-the program was created by the Portuguese Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation IAPMEI in order to attract entrepreneurs from all over the world to Portugal.
Who is eligible for the Start-Up visa
- entrepreneurs from all over the world who want to open an innovative company, or move an existing startup to Portugal.
Portugal Start-Up visa requirements
- the number of project participants is from 1 to 5 people (your startup team);
- all participants must be over 18 years old;
- confirmation of the availability on the bank account of the amount necessary to ensure the entire declared startup team at the rate of 5146.08 € per person for a year;
- an existing startup, or a project idea with a business plan, financial calculations and a development strategy;
- a startup should be focused on innovative and technological goods or services;
- a startup should be potentially focused on entering international markets;
- one of the goals of a startup should be to create jobs in the future;
- the startup must have the potential to achieve within 5 years after the creation of a turnover of over 325,000 € per year and/or the value of assets in the amount of this amount.

- Visa approval process may take up to 6 months
- Visa processing period is 30-60 days
