Summary of the Canada Start Up visa program
A program for foreigners who want to move to Canada and start an innovative business startup. Up to 5 employees can move per startup project.
Who is eligible for the Canada Start Up visa
- Founders and co-founders of innovative startup projects;
- Key employees of the startup project.
Canada Start Up visa requirements
- A valid passport;
- Approval of the startup business plan by one of the key organizations evaluating the potential of innovative projects in Canada: Canadian Venture Capital Fund, Canadian Investment Group or National Business Incubation Organization;
- At least 10% ownership of the startup;
- Knowledge of English or French at Intermediate level or higher;
- Proof of sufficient funds for living in Canada in the amount of $10,000 for one person for one year, $12,500 for two family members, $15,000 for three persons, etc.;
- Medical certificate of health status of the applicant;
- Certificate of criminal record.
Costs associated with a Canada Start Up visa

Terms of obtaining a Canada Start Up visa
- Up to 12 to 16 months
- Upon approval of the Permanent Residence Permit is issued.
