Summary of the Slovenia Family Reunion visa program
A visa that allows a foreigner officially residing in Slovenia a relative to live, study and work in the country.

Who is eligible for the Family Reunion visa

  • Spouses of people who officially reside in Slovenia with a residence permit (at least 2 years), permanent residence permit or have Slovene citizenship;
  • Minor children of persons officially residing in Slovenia;
  • Incompetent parents of persons with official residence in Slovenia.

Slovenia Family Reunion visa requirements

  • Completed questionnaire;
  • Copy of residence permit or other document confirming the right of the host country to live and work in Slovenia;
  • Valid passport;
  • Proof of relationship that allows you to apply for reunification (Certificate of Marriage, Birth Certificate);
  • Proof of clean criminal record;
  • Certificate of health insurance with full coverage for at least one year;
  • Proof of financial coverage for your host family member at the rate of 450 € per month per family member and his/her ability to support himself/herself and the family member to come to Slovenia for at least one year (e.g. for the reunion of spouses, you have to prove that your host family members have 10,800 €).

Reunification with elderly parents is only possible if it is proved that they are incapable of living separately and of providing for themselves, both financially and physically, and if there are no other relatives of similar proximity who can take care of them.

  • Visa fee for the citizens of the Russian Federation, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Northern Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia and Ukraine - 35€
  • For citizens of other countries - 80€
  • Fees for immigration specialists: from 2 500€
