Who is eligible for the Chile Rentier resident visa

  • individual renters who rent out their real estate anywhere in the world and have the opportunity to document the receipt of funds for rent within 6 months;
  • families renting out real estate and ready to confirm the official income received within 6 months;
  • couples, including LGBT+ representatives, who have real estate and are ready to confirm income from renting it out for 6 months;
  • pensioners who are ready to confirm a passive income of over $ 1,000 per month per person.

Chile Rentier resident visa requirements

  • a valid passport with at least two blank pages;
  • absence of a criminal record, officially confirmed;
  • availability of a lease agreement for real estate owned by the applicant officially;
  • confirmation of regular passive income from renting out real estate or pension payments in the amount of a minimum of $ 900 per month for one person and $ 1,300 for two for 6 months by an extract/certificate from the bank (additional documents from the bank are not required, a separate check of contractors-tenants of real estate is not provided);
  • in the case of married couples, it will also be required marriage certificate;
  • in the case of a civil partnership, a document from one of the partners with a notarized commitment to take over the financing of the other's residence in Chile will be required;
  • in the case of pensioners, a pension certificate will be required.
  • All documents must be notarized and translated into Spanish.
  • It is possible to apply for a residence permit in Chile under the rentier program directly on the territory of Chile in case of entry on a tourist visa (you can stay in the country for 90 days).
