The program is for people who are persecuted in their homeland on national, ethnic, sexual, political or other grounds.
Who is eligible for the USA Asylum visa
- People persecuted in their country because of:
- religious views;
- political judgments or public activities;
- race;
- nationalities;
- involvement in a humiliated or oppressed social group;
- sexual orientation;
- gender.foreign full-time students of higher educational institutions aged 18-23 years with a conversational level of knowledge of English.
USA Asylum visa requirements
- Valid international passport;
- Convincing evidence of the applicant's persecution in his homeland, including notarized testimony of witnesses able to confirm the applicant's story;
- Certificates from medical institutions or the police in case of aggressive actions or acts of violence against the applicant;
- Copies of applications to the prosecutor's office or other law enforcement agencies proving the lack of an adequate response to the persecution of the applicant within the country;
- Protocol of detentions, house searches, removal of things, etc. acts;
- Threatening letters, if any;
- Photographs documenting the damage caused to the applicant or his property.
