Language courses
A permit for 6 months, renewable. Italian is desirable but not required, no age limit.
University
A permit for 1–2 years, renewable. Italian is not required when the program is in English.
Residenza from day one
Registration of residence is done immediately and the years toward permanent residence count from that date.
Work option
University students can work up to 20 hours per week or open a sole proprietorship or company.
Flexible changes
After the first student permit you can switch to any other university or school.
Language to degree
The language permit can be converted to a student permit without leaving Italy.
Requirements
Language courses at a university: savings from €5,000, payment of the course for at least 6 months, tuition €300 per month. One applicant, family cannot join at the start. The first 2 months are in person in Reggio Calabria, after the card you can move to any city. No right to work.
University: apostilled diploma with translation, tuition €1,000–15,000 per year. A spouse enrolls separately, for children a guest visa. Scholarships (DSU and others) depend on a specific program and cannot be estimated in advance.

- A lease is required for all programs (one year or the 4+4 scheme). We select housing that meets the consulate’s requirements
- Extra costs: consular and state fees, translations and apostilles, health insurance, residence card
