Formats and requirements
Language courses: only through the consulate or visa center in your country, one applicant without family. You need a credible reason to choose Spain and a motivation letter. Spanish from A1 is desirable.
Vocational programs: D visa at the consulate, or from inside Spain on a tourist Schengen stay of 45+ days.
Higher education: any age, visa or Schengen stay of 45+ days.
- Enrollment, and a passport with 2 blank pages for the whole study period
- Apostilled criminal record certificate, medical certificate and one-year health insurance (€750–1,200)
- Proof of funds €12,000–14,000 and proof of housing in the study city
- Tuition: in English €3,000–4,000 per year (realistically €6,000–10,000), in Spanish €1,500–2,000 (realistically €3,000–6,000)
